7th The Dixieland Swing Kings
The Dixieland Swing Kings are a very accomplished band formed from experienced musicians who really swing! This ensemble has the full repertoire of all your favourite traditional jazz numbers.
14th John Maddocks Down Home Jazzers
Celebrate the end of 2024 and the start of the Christmas holiday with John Maddocks and his Dorset-based traditional jazz band. They have been playing more than 30 years, extensively in the UK and Holland, Germany and Belgium. Prepare to hear some stunning clarinet solos in between the ensemble work, and dance away the night!
21st Bob Dwyers Bix & Pieces
Bob Dwyer playing trombone leads his popular band. A great chance to see a sousaphone on stage with Marc Easener in the engine room. The band plays mainly in the style of the legendary Bix Beiderbecke.
28th New Orleans Bump
New Orleans Bump play lively, happy jazz, which is always well received by the audience. Led by David Wood on reeds, the five piece band features Sarah Thatcher on banjo and guitar, Spike Kennedy on the double bass, and Dave Andrews on drums. Stan Stephens usually delights us with some vocals and of course, lovely trombone playing.
